How to Use Social Media to Promote Social Good
Doing social good can be overwhelming. While changing the world sounds nice, it is easier said than done. However, there are simple ways to promote social good throughout everyday life—with the accessible tool of social media.

The social media cycles between post/repost, share, and tag. Your social media accounts can be used to promote important causes to your friends and followers. Your favorite non-profits likely have social media accounts whose posts you can share. There are also several activism accounts that make colorful and engaging graphics for reposting.

If you are passionate about a certain cause, it is likely that there are others who share the same interest. Utilize hashtags to explore specific topics and communities. Follow prominent organizations and people within that community and get involved.

- LinkedIn is known for its networking opportunities. Connect with notable organizations and learn more about what they do and how to get involved, such as volunteering.
Each platform also has its own streaming capabilities, and you can attend online events. Take advantage of the unique features of each platform! Social media is rapidly developing and innovative, as are the ways to promote social good.
