#snapchat vs Facebook aka engagement vs users?
- Reporting 166 million users, Snapchat disappointed Wall Street investors during its first quarterly results. The stock promptly dived some 24%. But the story here is Snapchat’s efforts to frame it’s story as one of engagement. In that lens Snapchat is second only to FB with 30 minutes of user engagement daily vs an estimate 37 minutes for Facebook.
- Having said that television is still the elephant in the room with people spending an average of 4 hours in front of that screen.

- Contrary to popular belief, 2017 and 2018 will not be the year of VR or AR, it will be the year of AI. At it’s developer conference Google put artificial intelligence right square in the middle of many of its most important initiative.
- From Google Lens, an app that will phone cameras recognize the objects they see, to hardware chips made specifically for machine learning applications.http://www.augmentedworldexpo.com/

- Look for lots of news to come out in the next few days from te\he Augmented World Expo (AWE). Basically anyone who is into AR, VR or MR, will be there trying to show something and generate a bit of buzz.
