On Thursday, Bitcoin fell down 9.4 percent on the day, the biggest single-day drop since Nov. 24, wiping out the gains made over the last two weeks. BTC is currently trading around $3,630.

Earlier in the week, Ethereum Classic suffered a 51% attack, leading to chain reorgs and double-spends. The attack began on January 5th and went unnoticed for a few days.

Qtum has completed its first atomic swap with Bitcoin on mainnet. Atomic swaps are a feature that allows for on-chain transactions between cryptocurrencies on two separate blockchains without the need to rely on a third party.

Crypto payment platform Bitrefill has launched Thor, a service that allows customers to open Lightning channels on demand.
