What is FLEXA Coin?
Flexa Coin is a protocol used to build a payment system for digital assets and started after successful funding in January 2019. Flexa stands for the overall service name and FXC (Flexa Coin). SPEDN stands for the slogan ‘Pure-Digital Payments,’ which was first brought by FLEXA.
SPEDN, a digital asset payment app released by Flexa, was first announced on the market at the Consensus 2019 held by Coindesk in the United States. The Winklevoss brothers, Facebook’s investor and founder of the GEMINI Exchange, released a photo, which depicted payments made through an app at a Starbucks store in New York. The Winklevoss brothers used Bitcoin as a payment method, and the application they used was the SPEDN. For this reason, the price of FXC rose steeply before and after the Consensus 2019.

Payment support for famous chain retail stores
Flexa supported Bitcoin and Litecoin payments in mid-2019, starting with famous chain retail stores such as Baskin Robbins and Dunkin Donuts in the United States. Besides, through a partnership with VAN company in the United States, anyone can pay through a digital asset barcode. So, many traders have already used digital assets as currency through SPEDN. Perhaps for this reason, within DeFi Pulse, a website that provides information about DeFi projects, Flexa still ranks first in the Payments category.
AMP, the new name of FLEXA?
The largest exchange in the United States, Coinbase, recently posted DeFi projects on the listing review list. Flexa was added to the list on August 1st, raising expectations for listing. However, just one day before Coinbase’s announcement, Flexa announced a new project.
The new project name is AMP, and nothing discovered about the project other than the name yet, but only the content of exchanging FXC tokens and AMP tokens in a 1:1 ratio was announced. Subsequently, Flexa will release more details in the coming weeks. We are looking forward to the future of FLEXA’s rebranding event.
