Dear community,

Today the BitTorrent Foundation initiated its first airdrop to TRON (TRX) holders. In total, 10,890,000,000 BitTorrent (BTT) are currently being distributed, corresponding to 1.1% of the total supply.

BitTorrent (BTT) will be airdropped to all the addresses running on TRON’s blockchain that have a TRX balance greater than or equal to 1 TRX. If you control the secret key of your TRX, you don’t need to do anything to receive BTT airdrop. If your TRX are stored on an exchange or a wallet supporting the official airdrop program, they will receive the tokens for you and distribute them accordingly to the amount you hold. Regardless of whether your TRX are frozen, you will be eligible to receive BitTorrent (BTT) under the terms of such exchanges and wallets. You may contact your exchange(s) and wallet(s) to get further information on the distribution.

The ratio of BTT airdrop is 1 TRX = 0.1097681177 BTT. We invite our community to monitor the transactions related to the airdrop program here.

Due to the large amount to be distributed, receiving the tokens may take up to 48H and you may want to connect with the customer support service of the exchanges & wallets supporting our airdrop program where your TRX are stored if you have any questions.

Receiving BitTorrent (BTT) through our official airdrop program gives early access to our newest technology. With our latest partnerships, recipients already able to use our utility token to purchase goods or services such as our Pro & Ad-Free Products, or through Coinpayments merchant’s network. BitTorrent (BTT) airdrop should not be considered as an investment, nor a dividend.

Since the announcement of BitTorrent (BTT) on January 3rd, 2019, we have become aware of an important number of fraudulent websites, social media channels, ICOs, and airdrops falsely claiming to be offering BitTorrent (BTT). We are actively working on taking down those fraudulent platforms and wanted to warn you about the risk related to deceptive sites and channels and participating in their initiatives that might result in the potential loss of your funds.

Please keep in mind that neither the BitTorrent Foundation, BitTorrent, uTorrent, TRON, the TRON Foundation or Justin Sun will ever ask you to send any token in exchange of eventual BitTorrent (BTT). All announcements will be made on our official channels and no channels dedicated to the airdrop will be created.
