The Power Of One

Each one of us was born alone, other than a few exceptions no doubt, with twins, triplets, quadruplets or even more! We shall also die alone.

Relating the above to the subject matter of this article: ‘The Power of One’, we must remember that our universe was born out of nothingness or ‘zero’ unless science comes up with some revelation to the contrary. Nature gifted our planet with its own atmosphere, solar system, the constellation, the 5 elements and practically all necessary life-support systems we could possibly imagine for the longest time to come.

We humans are pre-programmed to survive and thrive in company of others whereas loneliness has a crippling effect. We all seek company and that is more than sufficient once we find one just ONE compatible soul to be on our side through thick and thin.

We are also well aware of the power hidden inside a small, little seed that, once properly planted, gives birth to a sapling and gradually grows into a fruit-bearing tree. This tree provides not only food to so many but also gives shade from summer heat and a place for birds to roost while also protecting our environment by converting Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen for us to breath at the same time.

I’m sure the possible catastrophe of such an eventuality will be more than total chaos. And how do the computer programs work 1s and 0s, that’s it: 1s and 0s.

One single individual, with active support of just one other like-minded companion can find total protection by watching each other’s back with a 360 Degree vision. The need of the hour, for all of us, is to find that ONE other individual who we can trust entirely and who should also have the same degree of faith in us to create an invincible force, bar none!

One true friend in your life will make an impact that even Millions of Dollars cannot, guaranteed! Why, because money comes and goes but true relations survive whether you become rich or poor. I can say this with absolute certainty as I have been through that step in my own life and proudly enjoy friendships that have sustained over half a century already.

Apply the above principles in life with due diligence and see your creative, productive, supportive network grow to immense power where each individual takes strength from the union rather than using/misusing and/or exploiting anyone.

Make it your ‘mantra’ that you will learn something new each day, to read at least one page of a book yet unread or communicate with one stranger that you have never ever met in your life. Try to gain a little bit of knowledge or share an experience each day of your life and see the change happen, a change for the better, a change to a new “you”, ONE day at a time!!!

Be that friend to someone you know and respect and make sure you fulfil your part of the commitment with diligence, without expecting anything in return! This is the legacy you want to build for yourself, to be remembered by at least one individual as a true human being that ever lived. More the Merrier!!!
