Musiccloud Relaunched as Caketunes.com and Open To All of Africa

Caketunes.com (formerly Musiccloud) is a web based music and beat distribution platform for emerging artistes, DJs and producers across Africa. A former #StartupSouth Alum, Caketunes gives every aspiring artistes a choice to succeed by democratizing distribution using technology.

Upon sign up, all users of Caketunes are offered a unique page where their uploaded content are displayed. Users include visitors who come to discover good, unusual music of a wide variety of genres (you may not find online anywhere else) are on Caketunes “Discover” page.

New Features

This relaunch comes with several amazing features and a great look. Among the features include Beats Core — a market place for beats — giving producers/musician a convenient platform to sell/buy beats at a very affordable rate.

According to Ability Elijah, CEO & CO-Founder, Caketunes gives users the ability to comment, rate or like tracks. This he said would then help in the discovery process for outstanding talents. Caketunes Algorithm help users track related music and beats in terms of similarity, pattern and genre. The new version comes with a clean user timeline.

Why Africa?

On the reason for going Africa, the Co-Founders said, “it’s due to much request from artiste from Ghana and Kenya”
