The Yankees fandom is honestly one of a kind. Their love for the game and team is immense and today it was evident. While the Yankees played against the Arizona Diamondbacks at the Yankee Stadium, the fans were present and ready to root for their “boys”, and lets just say both Yankees players and fans showed that the “savages were in the box”, or shall I say stadium. The game ended with the Arizona Diamondbacks scoring 5 points while the New York Yankees scored 7. Although this was very joyous victory for the Yankees, their win wasn’t what their fans loved the most, believe it or not. When talking to Yankees fans you realize that what they loved most about the Yankees is deeper rooted than just a win, it’s about the team the Yankees have. They win but also lose together as a team, and unite as one to give their fans one hell of a show. The Yankees not only spread a narrative of victory but also of unification, and we get to hear that message being spread in Yankees fans, both formal dialogue and also informal chants and screams.
