I am currently working at catching up with Keeley Schroder’s latest challenges. Here’s the scoop:

Question #2: Are you or do you know someone on the spectrum? What makes them special?

I have a great-nephew who was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD when he was really young, but I haven’t had the opportunity to spend any time with him, especially in the last few years.

I don’t know how this affects him, his daily life or his relationships. I could repeat what others have told me, but that’s just not right. Even if it’s not complete gossip, it’s speculation and anecdotal at best. Such a disservice to all involved, indulging in second-and-third-hand heresay.

I guess all I can do is say, “I know someone.”

And leave it there.

That is all.

I will say that when the word “spectrum” comes up, my first reaction…
