Why does BlaBlaCar support sustainable entrepreneurship?
We have 11 years to stabilize global warming. Time is running out. We’ve been working for more than 10 years towards a more sustainable use of cars, creating a trusted community of more than 70 million members. In 2018 alone, the BlaBlaCar community saved 1,6 million tons of CO2 by sharing their rides, which is the equivalent of Paris being free from traffic for a year. Today we want to enable great entrepreneurial teams to tackle other forms of wastes and build a low carbon society.
Our co-founders are supportive of entrepreneurship: Fred is a regular mentor to entrepreneurs & the President of France Digitale, Francis co-founded Tech Rocks and Nicolas is a seasoned startup investor, speaker and mentor.
Francis Nappez, CTO of BlaBlaCar will be a member of the Jury of this Startup Weekend.
