What do people need most during hard times? It’s a simple answer… Comfort. The harder question is: How do we go about comforting the hurting, especially when we don’t know exactly how they feel?

I loved learning in school. I loved when different life experiences were able to shape and grow me. My twenty-three years of life have taught me so much. However, I can confidently say this past year has taught me the most.

I have learned about myself in more ways than one. I have learned about God and living in a fallen world in a way I had never experienced before. I also learned about people and connection and how much we truly rely on those as individuals.

While being comforted in many great and not-so-great ways during this season, I have been able to learn more ways on how I want to comfort those around me too. I figured it’s a skill that we ALL can work on.

You can’t heal or solve people’s problems with your words.

There are times when you can give advice, and boom, problem solved. Unfortunately, most of the time, it isn’t that easy.
