I’ve been vegetarian, vegan, Christian
A workout fiend
I’ve written
I’ve read all the self-help books
I’ve meditated
And gotten massages.

About 5 years ago, I got a frozen shoulder. Just one day my shoulder felt tight and then it hurt badly to move it or put any pressure on it to the point of tears and then it completely froze up where I couldn’t lift my arm beyond my shoulder. I did physical therapy, dry needling, and deep tissue massage and after one year I was able to regain movement. This is a common problem for women over 40 I learned and they contribute it to Perimenopause.

I had gone to my functional medicine doctor for blood work multiple times feeling low and needing my labs checked, feeling so fatigued and hopeless at times that I knew something must be wrong. Of course, I was prescribed anti-anxiety and anti-depressants as she said I was too young to be in perimenopause.

I’ve always had extreme mood swings around PMS and very heavy cycles. My period has run my life in a multitude of ways. I’ve done Reiki and energy healing, Ayurveda. I do a ton of yoga. I don’t drink alcohol, I eat whole foods.
