No, Not Even Wine with Dinner
The biggest and most irritating sobriety question answered
NEWWD, Not Even Wine with Dinner came about when I began my sobriety adventure in 2010. That was the beginning of my longest sobriety stint, from November 25th, 2010 to 6ish years later.
I worked with my husband at our sailboat rigging company. We sold and installed everything you need on the deck of a sailboat to get you floating freely across the seven seas, or your closest po-dunk lake, you choose the body of water.
With all of that came boat shows. At least half a dozen trade shows a year. Now, if you know anything about boating, it usually involves drinking. Lots and lots of drinking. Not casual wine-sipping drinking, but dirty, sloppy, rum-sloshing, pirate deck-swabbing, bikini contest going, Jimmy Buffet singing (side note: even SINGLE boater I know loses their ever-loving mind when Margaritaville comes on), gnarly barefoot-stumbling, kind of drinking.
