I am convinced that social media and our algorithms are designed to upset us. It finds out what you like, who you are, etc. Then, it shows you the opposite.

When Instagram and Facebook figured out I am pregnant, my feed became flooded with all kinds of varying information, scary stories, and every do and don’t possible. While some of the information has been helpful and worth saving, some has triggered horrible anxiety.

It became too much. Instead of absorbing it, digging deeper, or struggling to turn away, I backed off.

My 15 week baby bump ❤ (I’ll be 16 weeks on Sunday)

Different seasons come with different interests.

Back when my husband and I first started trying in July of 2023, I had to fully get off of TikTok. It felt like every other video was on infertility and miscarriages. I would click “not interested” on these videos, and that only seemed to encourage them more.

So, I had to get away. I got off of TikTok, and I only used it if someone specifically texted me a link to a post.
