“Y’all are so amazing.”

“I wish I had the guts to do what you’re doing.”

“You always do the coolest things.”

“I wish I were as brave as you.”

Ha HA! Guess what, friends? You’ve been roused. It’s all utter bullshit.

Life online. The world’s biggest and most successful facade.

I’m not suggesting that I don’t do cool things or don’t engage in interesting and special experiences. Still, the idea that many people think my social media accounts represent the entirety of my life is downright scary.

I got 99 problems and more.

I have drama.

My marriage is far from perfect.

I lose my phone a lot.

I have anxiety, also a lot.

I get diarrhea.

I get angry and irritated.

And sometimes, I don’t shower as often as I probably should (see anxiety and depression).

But you won’t see all of that on my Instagram feed.

Sharing and oversharing walk a fine line. Some share the good, and some share the bad…
