recite me
<pretty please>
like a love song
hum the petals of my art —
caress the silky texture of my text
as you extract
every syllable
that has
f
a
l
l
e
n
(silent) from the vivid valley of my verse

<don’t miss a beat>

delve deep inside my lines
deconstructing my diction

probe the lyrics of my whimsy
as my melody makes music in your mind
<don’t mind me>

skim my verse with your vision
so our love becomes hyperbolic

let (my) words spill from (your) lips — unbridled —
encompassing my internal rhyme
g
y
r
a
t
e
to my matter (as if it matters)
syncopate
to the metrical hues
of my imagery beneath your fingertips —
serenade
my yearnings for more
<dance with me>
while deciphering the stories on my skin
