Player Reputation System and its associated Powers, Perks and Bonuses
Today we are releasing information on the upcoming Reputation System within Black Eye Galaxy gameplay. The system has been developed to reward our fantastic community for their patience and ongoing support, it also addresses the popular request of bringing back BYG staking to the game.
REPUTATION MECHANICS:
REPUTATION METER
Reputation points are earned by staking BYG and each level of Reputation will be achieved by reaching a certain number of Reputation points: 1 BYG = 1 Point. If a player continues to stake their BYG they will get a 10% boost in points for each consecutive month that their BYG has been staked. For example: For 2 months of staking 1BYG earns 1.2 Points. If the player unstakes their BYG they will lower their score. Levels only provide a title, a medal or something similar but they are the key to obtaining improvements with the POWERS. Each level of reputation allows you to unlock one extra Power.
There are 15 LEVELS of Reputation:
Level 1 — -5000 Points
Level 2 — –12,000 Points
Level 3 — -20,000 Points
Level 4 — -30,000 Points
Level 5 — -42,000 Points
Level 6 — -55,000 Points
Level 7 — -75,000 Points
Level 8 — -100,000 Points
Level 9 — -140,000 Points
Level 10 — -190,000 Points
Level 11 — -275,000 Points
Level 12 — -375,000 Points
Level 13 — -500,000 Points
Level 14 — -700,000 Points
Level 15 — -1,000,000 Points
THE POWERS
The Powers provide enhancements, perks and benefits, each Power has 5 levels and each level can only be unlocked in a linear fashion by unlocking the Power before it. Once chosen, new Powers become active within 7 days. If a player unstakes some/all of their BYG they will lose some/all of their Powers if their points drop below the threshold where their Reputation level decreases.
SCIENTIFIC POWERS
This branch of powers represents the rapidly advancing scientific institutions of Iris, a network of some of the brightest thinking minds in the entire galaxy.
Power 1 — — Provides a 10% speed increase to Hunters and Discovery ships
Power 2 — — Provides a 20% decrease of damage to ships.
Power 3 — — Provides a 30% speed increase to Hunters and Discovery ships
Power 4 — — Increases Radar visibility range by 50%
Power5 — — Gives the following bonuses:
Access to purchase a collection of special ships and buildings.
Increases Radar visibility range by 100% (also requires ECONOMIC POWER >=3).
Provides an 80% speed increase to Hunter ships, Provides 40% speed increase to Discovery ships (also requires ECONOMIC POWER >=3 and DIPLOMATIC POWER >=2)
ECONOMIC POWERS
This branch of powers represents the wealthy and prestigious banking and financial districts of Iris.
Power 1 — — Allows a player to participate in giveaways of land, planets and more.
Power 2 — — Gives access to an external staking pool with a modest APR of 2–5%.
Power 3 — — Allows a player to participate in special offers related to land or planets.
Power 4 — — Guarantees a staking slot for all future alliance cards that are released (also requires DIPLOMATIC>=1)
Power 5 — — Provides an NFT of a building or a special land each season and Cargo Ship transportation fees are reduced by 5%
DIPLOMATIC POWERS (alliance cards may help raise a player’s score)
This branch of powers represents the noble and honourable parliament of Iris as well as the virtuous Galactic Senate. Unlike the other Powers, diplomacy represent something intrinsic to each player, such as charisma or influence.
Power 1 — — Allows a player to enter into a reward giveaway (skins, models, etc)
Power 2 — — Allows a player to participate in special offers
Power 3 — — Ensures one reward (skins, models, etc.) per season
Power 4 — — Allows a player to participate in one rare NFT giveaway per season
Power 5 — — Provides a very special NFT per season.
Grants a Senator status (Requires SCIENTIFIC>1 and ECONOMIC>1) to be represented in project Council Board
Players that get to level 5 in each POWER will receive an equal share of Galaxy Tax earnings on regular basis.
Quests
We plan to add quests into game, with new type of cheap and very fast ships — Corvettes (See images). People participating in quests will be able to try to find NFTs of rare ancient artifacts. Each artifact will give a particular reputation increase which will allow more dynamic initial play early on for newcomers with very little investment required.
Boosts for reputation
For holders that have 1 of each Alliance Card currently available
For owners of all planets in 1 star system.
For project ambassadors who help promote and contribute to Black Eye Galaxy.
For early investors who have held their BYG for a long time without selling.
For accumulating targets of referrals of new players to Black Eye Galaxy using referral codes etc.
Players will be able to stake very soon, even before the system is live in around 1 week’s time. Players who do stake early will get an instant 10% reputation boost. Details on how to stake will be released in the coming few days.
