BlackBird partners with Bye Aerospace for Electric Airplanes, Making Flying (Much) More Affordable Than Driving

We’re excited to announce a new long-term strategic partnership with Bye Aerospace, the world’s leading electric aircraft manufacturer.

The fact is, we all want to travel further, faster for cheaper. How many times have you thought about going away for the weekend and decided not to because the time, expense and hassle of getting there just wasn’t worth it? By some estimates 41 million trips a year are avoided for this reason. With Bye Aerospace’s help, BlackBird is changing that.

For over a decade, Bye Aerospace has been hard at work building the world’s first certified electric plane. These planes are 75% less expensive and 5–10 times faster than driving a car. What’s that mean for you? Think about a place you love that’s five hours away by car, likely costing more than $100 in gas each way. As soon as next year, that same place will be 45min and $25 away with BlackBird.

Starting next year, BlackBird will have 10 eFlyer 2s (two seat model) and 100 eFlyer 4s (four seat model) on the platform.
