Sunrise North Island

In 2018 we took you on a journey to Sunrise Island; an homage to founders, set on Cockatoo Island, complete with camping, keynote speakers, 42 workshops and150+ mentoring sessions.
In 2019 we embark on a different journey. We take The Sunrise across the Tasman to Auckland, New Zealand. We’re pairing this with a brand new Blackbird office in Auckland, and a seed fund dedicated to Kiwi founders.
Sunrise North Island is our love letter to Founders. We want to help build a startup movement in New Zealand. We want to support Kiwis in beginning their journey into startups. We want to inspire them and help them overcome obstacles. And we want to bring together the Australian and New Zealand founder communities so that we all have a higher chance of success.
With less than a third of the tickets available than in previous years, this event will be intimate and founder-focussed.
