Blacxellence — Peigh
It’s hard to know where to start with Peigh. We started out as acquaintances at Run Dem Crew and over the years have we’ve gone on a journey to become brothers.
We’ve run together, cycled together, swam together, ate together and shared some pretty epic moments together too.
Peigh is a musician, creative, selector, mentor and above all else, my friend.
He’s also the co-founder of this thing called Swim Dem Crew. Swim Dem is an inclusive swimming community that inspires people to do the unknown. The unknown may be flying to Croatia on a whim to teach people how to swim, gathering your closest friends and driving to the other side of England to swim a marathon, waking up at 4am to swim at sunrise, teaching young people how to swim or simply waking up hungover on a Saturday to share the water with your nearest and dearest.
I’m always going to be proud of Swim Dem, where it has reached and the people that it helps, a large part of its success is down to Peigh’s drive and motivation.
His charming and loving energy is what draws most people to him, but they stay for the wealth of knowledge that he holds. Peigh sees the world in a unique way and is a necessary friend to have in your life, always real, always outspoken, always Peigh.
