After a few crazy weeks, Jared returns to join Chris for some pinball talk!

There’s a lot to catch up on in this episode because Jared has been tied up for a few weekends now doing stuff.

There’s impending news about Zaccaria Pinball on Android, a huge Quality of Life patch for Williams Pinball, Star Wars Pinball on Switch cartridge pricing, and a large block of coverage for the Brisbane Pinball and Arcade Collective (BPAC) event running right now at the Brisbane Showgrounds as part of the Ekka.

It wouldn’t be BlahCade if we didn’t talk about food, and this week it’s all about Carnival Food.

It’s a huge show summary this time around so make sure you read it all. I’ll know if you haven’t… 😜

And now… on with the show

03:00 —Zaccaria Pinball on Android

Mart from Magic Pixel drops a preview of what’s in store for Android customer for Zaccaria Pinball.

Before you ask, he’s not quite sure about what’s going to happen with existing Android customers’ purchases when upgrading to the new platform. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.

07:50 — Williams Pinball on Android Quality of Life patch

A huge patch notes release for Williams Pinball on Android has dropped on Reddit (of all places).

Check it out after you listen to our verbal summary.

11:30 — Star Wars Pinball on Twitch is getting close!

It looks like Star Wars pinball on Twitch will be completely isolated from all other leaderboards.

There are pre-order prices already up for the retail package. In the United States, its about US$30.

In Australia, it is available for pre-order for about A$60 (yay Australia Tax 😠).

18:50 — Brisbane Pinball and Arcade Collective (BPAC)

It was finally time for the Classic Target Matchplay as part of the Festival of Pinball at the Ekka.

Here is the line-up of classics. There are more classics than moderns!

The event is still running.

If you are in Australia, then you’ve got to get along to the Brisbane Showgrounds and play some amazing pinball specimens.

I’d never played in that format before and its a great way of meeting new pin-friends and generally have a great time being caned by difficult classic pinball machines.

Here are the ones that I played as part of the Classic Targets Matchplay event. It was a glorious 11 rounds of classic pinball going against groups of up to four players each round.

Technically the first tournament pin above was a retheme of this table into a Stranger Things pinball machine. Emily Cosson (Daughter of Dr John Cosson) did it as part of a school project with the brief to “create something”. Pretty sweet project outcome if you ask me. Check out the details at

38:50 — About folks that take pinball too seriously

Sometimes you come across folks that take pinball just a bit too seriously. And sometimes you get matched up with a great bunch of folks. One such person is Jessica De Nardo.

Jess has got her own range of sweet merch, which you can snap up at Soft Plunge Pinball

40:30 — Carnival Food (or Fair Food if you’re in the US)

It’s the food quotient of the show and here are some Carnie Food tales, including how you can tell the butt of a Dagwood Dog.

A dagwood dog from The Ekka. A battered and deep fried savaloy sausage on a stick.

47:30 — How is Star Race going on-location?

Star Race is operational still at the time of posting.

Star Race on-location

But it is no longer my Star Race… 😉

Listen for the details.

51:30 — Multimorphic P3 “Heads Up” at Dave ’n’ Busters

This is what I call a sizzle reel!

So how will this offering of new-school pinball fit into the offerings that Zen Pinball have with their cabinet?

Chris Friebus also goes into details about what Dave ’n’ Busters actually is for those not in the US.

63:00 — Twitch action happening

Check out the Ways to Listen section for our twitch channel.

Chris has got a schedule of events he runs on the channel between podcasts.
