The annual Linlithgow Marches, which was due to take place in June, has been cancelled for the second year running due to Covid-19.

Organisers, Linlithgow Deacons Court, will instead offer a series of online events to mark the historic day.

The move comes after the First Minister’s Coronavirus Briefing on the 22nd January where Nicola Sturgeon announced that summer festivals and events would not take place in 2021.

In their statement, the Deacons Court said: “While we know that this will be disappointing to many, our priority must be to the safety of the people of Linlithgow.”

More details of the online events will be released in the coming months.
