Chad Prather and Matt Kibbe to debut new shows on BlazeTV

January 10, 2019 — Blaze Media, one of the nation’s largest independent media companies, today announced exciting new additions to the BlazeTV lineup reaching 165 million each month across traditional and digital media: Humor Me with Chad Prather, starring Chad Prather, and Kibbe on Liberty, starring Matt Kibbe. These new programs join LevinTV, GlennTV, Louder with Crowder, America with Eric Bolling, and others to form the most robust lineup of pro-America, pro-free speech programming available anywhere.

Humor Me with Chad Prather features one of the fastest-rising and most talked about comedians and entertainers in the country. Viewers ride along and experience firsthand the comedy and craziness that is Chad’s life — on the road, at home, and on the stage. The first season will feature 20 episodes as Prather crisscrosses America on his comedy tour, chats with celebrities, hangs out at home, and introduces his personal cast of sketch comedy characters. The first episode premieres January 30th on BlazeTV.

In the reimagined Kibbe on Liberty, Matt Kibbe, a fixture of the liberty movement and founder of FreedomWorks and Free the People, showcases his guiding principle: Don’t hurt people and don’t take their stuff. Viewers join Kibbe each week as he travels the world to sit down with thought leaders for some of the most interesting conversations taking place today. The new format premieres February 18th.

“After lots of thoughtful discussions with Blaze Media, we found an idea that is a fantastic fit for my voice and audience; one that is going to make them think and laugh,” said Prather. “There’s no better combination in media than humor and thought, and I am thrilled to join and bring my audience to BlazeTV.”

“As a libertarian, I’m proud to be joining BlazeTV. I’m going to put some new ideas forward, have thoughtful conversations with smart people from different perspectives, and reach for new audiences outside of the usual silos,” said Kibbe. “But this isn’t just about producing quality content. As supposedly ‘public’ social media platforms censor certain voices to shelter their ideological biases, BlazeTV will be a vital platform where speech is truly free.”

“No one has a way with words quite like Chad, and Matt is one of the most thoughtful and insightful thinkers I have known,” said Blaze Media president Gaston Mooney. “2019 is starting off with a bang for BlazeTV, and the new shows from Chad and Matt provide even greater diversity of viewpoints and programming options for our audience.”

This announcement follows a successful and momentous 2018 for Blaze Media, following the announcement of the merger of TheBlaze and CRTV, more than two billion video views, 60 million podcast downloads, and 30 million hours of content. The lineup of 29 shows features many of the biggest names in conservative thought leadership, including Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Steven Crowder, Eric Bolling, Phil Robertson, Andrew Wilkow, Deneen Borelli, Steve Deace, Allie Stuckey, Pat Gray, Jon Miller, Sara Gonzales, Andrew Heaton, and many more.

ABOUT CHAD PRATHER:

Chad Prather is a comedian, armchair philosopher, musician, and observational humorist. A fast-talking combination of Lewis Grizzard and Jeff Foxworthy, Prather is often referred to as “the modern-day Will Rogers.” He is known for his comedic family stories told onstage from an adult perspective.

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Prather now calls the Fort Worth, Texas, area home. He grew up working with horses (an industry he is actively involved in) and is often recognized by his ever-present cowboy hat.

His viral social media videos have been viewed hundreds of millions of times. Many recognize him from his fast talking, rapid fire rants in the front seat of his truck. CNN labeled him the “Pick-up Pundit” and Fox News’ Tucker Carlson called Prather “supernaturally articulate.”

Prather’s “Star Spangled Banter Comedy Tour” is currently selling out theaters all over America.

ABOUT MATT KIBBE:

Matt Kibbe is the co-founder and president at Free the People, an educational organization turning the next generation on to the values of liberty. Kibbe is also the co-founder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a strategic communications firm focused on video production, social media branding, and compelling storytelling, and he is a distinguished senior fellow at the Austrian Economics Center in Vienna. In 2004, Kibbe founded FreedomWorks, where he served as president for 11 years. Steve Forbes said, “Kibbe has been to FreedomWorks what Steve Jobs was to Apple.”

Against his better judgment, Kibbe occasionally gets involved in politics, serving as senior adviser to a Rand Paul SuperPAC and creating AlternativePAC to support liberty candidates. Kibbe also worked as a chief of staff on Capitol Hill, budget director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and at the Republican National Committee.

Dubbed “The Scribe” by the New York Daily News, Kibbe is most recently author of the #2 New York Times bestseller, Don’t Hurt People and Don’t Take Their Stuff: A Libertarian Manifesto.

In his spare time, he appears on TV, including Fox News, MSNBC, CNN and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. Most of his best material is lifted from his three liberty-minded cats, Roark, Ragnar, and Rearden.
