College Football is Back!

The College Football season is back today with a couple of lackluster games, but who cares … because its FOOTBALL! While some of the teams playing today are not gonna make the 2nd college football playoffs, I take a look at the teams that will.

Texas-Christian University

With the Heisman Front-runner Trevone Boykin, a former receiver, it is hard not to place the Horned Frogs in the playoffs. This dual-threat quarterback will look to improve on a year in which he passed for a school-record 3,901 yards, rushed for 707 and scored 42 touchdowns. If he repeats those statistics, look for TCU the playoffs and threaten to win the whole thing.

Ohio State

The defending national champs have the best player in the league, Joey Bosa, and they have one of the best running backs in the league, Ezekiel Elliott. With two stud quarterbacks, and a cupcake schedule, Ohio State will make the playoffs.

Alabama

Who is going to play Qb? Who cares. Alabama’s strength is their offense and defense line. With Cam Robinson opening holes for Henry and Drake, except the tide to run over their opponents. While their schedule is tough, a couple of early wins will give their quarterback, whoever it may be, some confidence going into the tough SEC schedule.

USC

USC CB Adoree Jackson is the first three-way player in nearly 20 years. He is mainly a cornerback, but also caught three touchdown passes on offense and is a damn good returner. His quarterback, Cody Kessler, will have a lot to say about this teams success. Statistically last season, Kessler was the second-best quarterback in the Pac-12, and looks like this year he will the first. His numbers will improve this year and in his second season Steve Sarkisian Kessler will have a higher level of success within the offense, leading them to the CFB Playoffs.
