It is important to realize the difference between someone not liking you and not liking your race. Calling someone a racist is a bold statement that could forever tarnish his/her resume. Being wrong about it can tarnish yours. LeSean McCoy might have done just that. In a great piece written from ESPN the Magazine, the former Eagles HB said:

The relationship was never really great. I feel like I always respected him as a coach. I think that’s the way he runs his team. He wants the full control. You see how fast he got rid of all the good players. Especially all the good black players. He got rid of them the fastest. That’s the truth. There’s a reason. … It’s hard to explain with him. But there’s a reason he got rid of all the black players — the good ones — like that. — ESPN Magazine

The coach McCoy was talking about was Chip Kelly. This man in his first year brought in a black quarterback to have a quarterback competition with a white one. Michael Vick won that competition over Nick Foles and was the starting QB in Kelly’s first year as head coach. Let’s look at all the moves Chip has made this off-season so far.

Later in the article, McCoy does change his tone a bit. “I have no hatred toward him, nothing to say negative about him,” Shady McCoy said. We will see if the Eagles fan back their coach or not. More importantly, we will see if the Eagles defense on December 13.

remembers this and takes care of business against the running back. The list above is pretty self-evident that even if you believe that Chip Kelly is a racist, his track record as a head coach says otherwise. McCoy is clearly sour that he got traded to the lowly Bills. They might not be lowly anymore, with Rex and that defense but is a story for another day. Shame on a running back we all use to love so much. Sometimes you have to learn to control your pride.
