Mobilizing the Bldg App to Support COVID-19 Relief
A Platform to Support Aid and Collaboration
Over the last few weeks, our daily lives have been completely flipped upside down. We’re all collectively striving to keep safe and healthy during unprecedented circumstances. While most of our days are now spent in isolation, there has never been a more important time to connect and rally alongside your local community. Today, we need to mobilize our time and resources in order to ensure that our neighbors and fellow citizens have what they need to get through this.
We launched the beta version of the Bldg App just a few weeks before the Coronavirus reached the U.S., and our complete focus since then has been on how our platform can support everything that’s going on around community needs. So today, we’re releasing a COVID-19 Initiatives channel on the website created to support neighborhood campaigns and calls to action.

Create or Contribute to a Community Initiative
On our front page, you’ll see direct links to various initiatives and the ability to search by region. Each initiative has a bulletin board that you can contribute to with ideas, polls, events, contests, and calls to action. We’ve compiled various initiatives that organizations and communities are mobilizing around. Sign up with Facebook, Google, or email, and hop into the efforts you’d like to support.
We’ve created a specific “Call to Action” Build where you gather volunteers, supplies, and more through the Bldg App. List what you need and find existing CTAs that you have the time and resources for.
If you don’t see your local support activities on here, you can list them so that others can learn about and participate in your efforts. If you run or are part of a formal organization or existing program and would like to create your own Initiative Page, select ‘Create an Initiative’ found in the COVID-19 tab.
We’re focused first and foremost on helping neighbors help each other. The response globally in helping communities in need has been inspiring in this time of crisis, and we want to be able to empower that community building in any way that we can.
