- Fully managed serverless architecture. No spinning instances required.
- Scalable in terabytes of data, no provisioning needed.
- BigQuery transparently brings in as many resources as necessary to run a query in seconds.
- No indexing needed.
- Queries are executed against append-only tables using the processing power of Google’s infrastructure.
- Standard SQL access (In beta by Google)
- Table partitioning.
- Pricing model: BigQuery charges for data storage, streaming inserts, and for querying data, but loading and exporting data are free of charge.
