Half of our team is in San Francisco at the Tech Inclusion Conference and from what we can tell from where we are sitting it is a conference that is breaking down barriers, telling it like it is and calling everyone to action.

Here are the top 10 tweets from day 1 that will give you an idea of the difference that inclusive energy makes.

Creating an inclusive conference starts at the planning stage. Wayne Sutton and Melinda Briana Epler thought of everything including having The Mommy Pod on site for parents who want a relaxing place to feed or pump for their little ones. If they missed something they also asked attendees to let them know so that they could improve next year!
Publishing goals and results is great but long term planning is required to realize meaningful change.
Back to planning again. If you want to be inclusive it is easy to be. You just need to reach out. The catering offerings got as much attention as the topics being discussed because all were provided by local groups within the community. Turns out being inclusive even tastes great! We are craving the cardamom muffins we heard about too!
Inclusion is the real goal.
Getting right to the point is the best way to move things forward.
Our favorite thing, action, action, action. We all have a role to play, every day.
So many to choose from we are doubling up. There it is again, action. Pretty simple really.
Time to get rid of what has become a mirrortocracy.

Man, what an amazing first day at #TechInclusion15, they are even blowing up the Twittersphere. Kudos to all involved. This is the difference that diverse and inclusive energy brings.
