How to bridge BTC/ETH/USDT/etc. to RSK

So you decided you want to Mint one of Blindex stablecoins, congrats! You are now joining the Blindex journey 🤩

TL;DR

The fastest ways for getting your loved tokens from the Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and other networks to the RSK blockchain are by using these methods:

Mt. Pelerin
Liquality
FastBTC by Sovryn — bridge your Bitcoin.
Sovryn bridge — bridge your ETH, BNB, BUSD, USDC, USDT, XUSD, DAI, etc.
Another option would be buying RBTC directly on supported centralized exchanges, like Kucoin or Bitfinex.

RBTC? ETHs?

RBTC is the native token of the RSK protocol which is pegged 1:1 to BTC, and ETHs are the wrapped ETH version on the RSK network.

In order to Mint BD-Stables (Blindex Stablecoins), one needs to provide part of the collateral in the form of RBTC or ETHs. You also need RBTC to pay for gas on RSK.

One of the first things you ask yourself probably is “how do I pay for gas on RSK”? or “How do I get RBTC? How do I get ETH on RSK?
In this article, we are going to introduce a couple of mechanisms to acquire RBTC and ETHs.

Mt Pelerin

Use Mt Pelerin, on and off-ramp services in order to Buy and Sell RBTC — you can use This Link to go straight and buy RBTC

Liquality

You can use Liquality Swap in order to swap from a variety of tokens to RBTC.
Another option is to use the Liquality Wallet in order to Buy and Sell RBTC directly.

Sovryn FastBTC

Sovryn is an RSK-native project. While it is possible to swap BTC for RBTC, the process has previously been both lengthy and complicated, especially for newcomers. Along came FastBTC and now we’re good to go!

FastBTC only requires 1 Bitcoin block confirmation and it allows you to convert BTC to RBTC in a matter of minutes by relaying BTC to RBTC.
It usually takes 10–60 minutes for the funds to appear.

Sovryn Bridge

The Sovryn bridge lets you bridge from the Ethereum or BSC (Binance Smart Chain) networks to and from RSK.
You can bridge:

ETH -> WIll be bridged to ETHs.
BNB -> Will be bridged to BNBs.
Stables like: USDT, USDC, DAI, BUSD -> Will be bridged to XUSD.
XUSD is a USD pegged stablecoins aggregator brought to you by our good friends from Babelfish.

We’re sure that more tokens will be added to the bridge in the future (including Blindex’s 😉)

That will help you get ETH and other tokens. You can then decide to swap some of them on Sovryn in exchange for RBTC to pay for gas on the RSK network.

Wait there are more!

There are more ways for acquiring RBTC. Here are some of these ways:

Buying RBTC directly on supported centralized exchanges, like Kucoin or Bitfinex.
