The rationale for creating Blindex

We are a team of builders (and dreamers), we believe that people all around the world should have access to a trusted financial system that is 100% decentralized and built for their needs.

Over the past year, we’ve seen massive growth in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem, specifically in the area of stablecoins.
We love the combination of DeFi and stability. Our belief is that stable assets are an essential part of any financial system, and will serve as the core building blocks in the future of DeFi (and Finance in general).

That’s exactly why we started working on Blindex last year — to create the first DeFi platform that is currency-blind, and help make DeFi and stablecoins more approachable, secure, scalable, and decentralized.

What you can do on Blindex?

• Mint\Redeem: Minting is the process of creating new BD-Stables in exchange for an equivalent amount of collateral (BTC / ETH in Blindex), essentially generating new stable tokens whose price is pegged to a specific currency like Euro, Usd, etc.
  While Redeem is the process of burning your stable tokens and getting the collateral in return.
• Swap: You can swap between any two supported tokens to get your preferred token, same as on exchange but the decentralized way, your tokens always remain on your wallet.
• Liquidity Provision: Become a Liquidity Provider (LP) by depositing tokens into a liquidity pool and earning the trading fees. You will also receive LP tokens as proof of ownership of your assets in the pool.
• Stake: Stake your LP tokens and start earning BDX tokens rewards (our utility token)
• Dashboard and Analytics: Track the tokens' stability and prices on our interactive dashboard.

Launching on RSK 🚀

We are launching on the RSK network as we are true believers in decentralization and security which are core, fundamental and inherent qualities of the RSK network (as it brings the power of DeFi on top of the Bitcoin network).

It is time to bring DeFi to Bitcoin, one block at a time.

What’s next?

We are launching our first two stablecoins, BDUS (USD pegged stablecoin) and BDEU (EURO pegged stablecoin), but our system is built for scale and soon we will be adding more stable currencies to the mix.
