Historically, the battle of Mahabharata was fought in Kurukshetra but Bhagavad Gita is not about the two warring clans of Kauravas and Pandvas. Rather, it indicates the continuous internal war going on between good and bad virtues lying since eternity within every human being.

Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is among the greatest spiritual book the world has ever known. It is one of the most ancient religious text narrated by Supreme Lord Krishna thousand of years ago in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. The principles explained in this saga are applicable even today as they are fundamental and essential for life from all perspectives.

This song of pure consciousness resonated in the beginning of the historic battle of Mahabharata.

The hero of this war and the greatest warrior of all times Prince Arjuna is depressed and dejected due to the fear of losing friends and relatives in the impending war. He is in a state of dilemma about the sins that he would be held responsible for. In the same manner, due to discrepancies of life, we also forget our role and responsibility and tend to take wrong decisions. Bhagavad Gita teaches us to confront such situations and emerge victorious with right decisions and actions.

During past hundreds of years the real essence and divine message of Bhagavad Gita was lost in religious sectarianism but Sri Ben Prabhu realized the need of unfolding the profound spiritual nature of this sacred scripture and brought into light a unique, untold and unheard dimension of Bhagavad Gita in front of the world through a series of ongoing Satsangs. According to Sri Ben Prabhu’s interpretation, historically, the battle of Mahabharata was fought in Kurukshetra but Bhagavad Gita is not about the two warring clans of Kauravas and Pandvas. Rather, it indicates the continuous internal war going on between good and bad virtues lying since eternity within every human being.

What is Kurukshetra?

Shrimad Bhagavad Gita begins with Dhritrashtra asking Sanjay, “What did my sons and sons of Pandu, assembled at the sacred land of Kurukshetra, desirous of battle, do?”

Kurukshetra was considered a righteous land because of the boon given to the rulers of Kuru dynasty that whether a person meditates or die at this place, he will surely get a place in heaven. According to the dimension explained by Sri Ben Prabhu:

Kurukshetra is a world of our 5 organs of Perception (Ears, Eyes, Nose, Tongue, Skin) and 5 organs of Action (Speech, hands, legs, reproductory & excretory organs) which work, react and discriminate along with mind and Intellect.

We have been given this human life to start our journey towards liberation and to successfully attain the goal of self-realization. For this purpose we have to bring control over our 10 senses which are desperately running outside to know the Superficial world.

Bhagavad Gita directs our senses into knowing our inner self by developing the qualities like Shubh (auspiciousness), Punya (Saintliness), Nishkamta (selflessness) and Akarta Bhaav (disowning the acts). With these qualities our intellect creates a portion of heart in it where Godliness is established and we start living our life in divine consciousness called ‘Pragya’.

Developing our intellect into this divine intelligence which is Pragya. Synchronised with qualities of Pure consciousness is the right use of Kurukshetra.

What is Dharamkshetra?

As explained by sri ben prabhu, Spiritually Dharamkshetra is the world of 5 energy centers (chakras) in our spinal cord which represents 5 Pandavas of Mahabharata.

The divine cosmic energies enter our body through crown chakra (sahasrar) and are stored in Medulla oblongata.

(Starting from the lowest chakra)

Root chakra (Muladhar)Sahdev

Sacral Chakra (Swadhishthan)Nakul

Navel Chakra (Manipur)Arjun

Heart Chakra (Anahat)Bheem

Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)Yudhisthira

When we think intensely about material desires, sexual pleasures and lust about food and worldly possessions then this divine energy has to come down from Medulla oblongata to the related chakras. These chakras (our own pandvas) who had to win this internal battle of mind and intellect through organs of perception and action became weak and lethargic. However these energy centers can be activated by exercising control over our organs and by meditation under the guidance of Sadguru.

Sri Ben Prabhu has unfolded one such unique and exact technique of meditation in the name of SwaRaj Kriya. Through this Kriya the energy centers in our body starts getting activated and balanced, due to which the divine cosmic energy is restored back to its abode in Medulla oblongata. This energy in medulla starts getting transferred to Agya Chakra, also known as the Third Eye. With enough self control and practice a day comes when this third eye is fully activated and we realise our pure consciousness in its entire divinity.

Spiritually, the Ist Shlok of Bhagavad Gita signifies that Ignorance (Dhritrashtra) asks Introspection (Sanjay) that in this human life where we have got Kurukshetra (10 organs) and Dharamkshetra (5 chakras), what is being done by mind and intellect in this internal ongoing war between good and bad?

We are taking birth after birth since eternity, being sent again and again in human form to accomplish the task of self realization and have not succeeded so far. But, with self control and by activating our energy centers under the guidance of a living Master, we can win this battle and can reach the eternal and infinite source of Bliss.
