There’s No Such Thing As Magic Pill
Most of the time when we train to get better at something we expect that the results will show up eventually. We expect that the results will show up overnight, after a few days, or even a few weeks. It doesn’t work that way as often as you think.
Developing a skill or becoming great at something takes countless hours. There’s no magic pill that you can take to suddenly get the skill or become great at it. You have to understand and realize that in order to do that, you have to go through many hours of training.
There are certain situations where it might lead you to a shorter duration to achieve the skill or become great at something. For example, you can hire someone who is great at the skill you want to achieve so you can speed up your learning process. That’s perfectly fine. What you need to understand is that the people who will help you or the things that will serve as your “shortcuts” should be there to guide you entirely. Their existence should be a supplement to the burning fire inside of you. They aren’t the fire.
There will be people or things that help you along your journey. Acknowledge them. Allow them to help you reach a new version of yourself. And most importantly, remember that this journey is about you vs you. This isn’t against anybody. The process is going to be a long road. There are no magic pills. It doesn’t happen overnight. It will take countless hours.
May you reach your dreams.
