During the Trump Administration, the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) rolled back millions of acres of existing conservation for public lands, prioritized oil and gas extraction, shut out the voices of Indigenous communities, and put forward unbalanced management plans for important wild lands in Alaska, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, and Oregon.

Please take action and urge the BLM to #FixThePlans!

The Biden Administration now has an obligation and opportunity to right these wrongs while fulfilling their commitments to address climate change, protect the nation’s lands and waters, and improve the health of communities by directing the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to review ongoing land use plans across the West and in Alaska. Already, the BLM has withdrawn a Trump Administration proposal that sought to remove critical safeguards from millions of acres of California Desert lands. But there is more to be done to ensure publicly-managed lands and waters will be properly stewarded to safeguard communities and combat climate change.
