From the very beginning, BlocBuy’s has wanted to make the world a more affordable place. Lowering carbon footprints, remove intermediaries from the supply chain, innovating with scale discounts to small businesses etc. is great for the world it is also driven by a profit motive.
Our reason to enter the blockchain space was for global good (as explained here — article) but we did not put our money on the line just for that. As we are good for some “cryp-hop”, let’s quote Tupac Shakur: “Forgive me I’m a rider, still I’m just a simple man/All I want is money, f*#k the fame I’m a simple man.” While it may be crass, it is a basic of business. To buffer this, let’s quote Einstein: “The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple.”
We are not gangster rappers but simple people who want to run a sustainable business. Crypto is full of strange projects and we may not be Einsteins but do find inspiration in making it simple. We leverage group buying on a global level with the blockchain technologies.
I’m sure our supporters like a value proposition that can be easily explained to a six-year old but that’s not everything. Having partners who are interested in what you have obviously makes a business go. Please refer to our website for a few of the companies interested in the BlocBuy platform. Most recently, the Canton Fair proved to be a success and our best reps were recently spotted at something maybe a little weird; a Sexpo in Australia. BlocBuy is not about the most family-friendly businesses, we are here to make progress wherever we can.
What You want to know
The decision to list on a better exchange and nothing less is what we’re going for. As a project that has been pretty lean, we can’t throw away money. We have come too far. BlocBuy has to be able to run on its own and have enough going on to make a listing really work.
Credibility is a huge component in our business. Large concerns will not catalogue their inventory with early stage companies unless there is trust and genuine assurances. We’ve garnered that trust and support. As a company we seek only exchanges that offer real liquidity, longevity and have not demonstrated clear price manipulation, wash trading and dumping etc. This harder than you think and as the project develops to a level with what we are looking for in an exchange, we will do our best to list.
BlocBuy knows that liquidity for the token is important. Zero volume means no interest. We want to seek cost effective and standard solutions. The cryptocurrency market is not looking great. Many projects have no clear business model and they aren’t going to be used enough to survive. These are idealistic projects run by people who don’t really know about turning profits. This is not meant to be mean but it is a fact. BlocBuy has done well in dealing with market forces and during rough time, have done our best to continue. We always hope for a better market that could move things forward but this has not happened and we are going to keep committing to more progress to see things through.
