Update
We hope our updates and announcements are informative and communicate some of what we do as a business. We won’t share hot air or things like, “identified performance bottleneck, thinking of using a new data structure, re-deployed to testnet,” because this is basically saying, “I did some work today.” We have our standards and procedures not just in working on smart contracts but we also try to inject basic business practice into the space.
Operations:
BlocBuy’s goal is to leverage the power of group buying on a global level. We are a group of entrepreneurs and believe our management style that runs with all of us working together is part of the future of the business. Operationally, we added resources to pick up sales and customer relations while the developmental is more specialized as we gear up for a beta sale (see “Tech” for additional details).
Business Development:
As a Q4 goal, we set the bar pretty high in our hopes to attain a company portfolio that represents 5b USD in combined purchasing/sales. We’re happy to announce that our sales team is in China and is going to attend the Canton Fair. We’ve lined up meeting with registered distributors looking to bring consumer goods s to BlocBuy. Fingers crossed!
We reached out to the community to find marketing partners that have success in raising community awareness for cryptos. Up to now we’ve been disappointed and will listen to suggestions from members that have suggestions. We can pay in tokens. any suggestions have to be able to prove that they actually worked because so much really hasn’t. Independent of this, we feel we have made enough progress to now embrace traditional “posting” channels and are open to those produce artwork, provide community building as well as the sharing of content. Ambassadors to the project can also be potent. We would very much like to increase visibility and access to BBY for potential contributors but will not do so at the expense of fiscal responsibility. Wash trading is still rampant, exchanges are closing and many are in violation of securities laws. We will not hand over considerable funds to such enterprises, as it only serves to harm the integrity and health of the project.
Tech:
We’re now at a stage to begin testing products in the form of real-world beta sales campaigns. We’ll be shooting to be one of the first products to be group purchased via a global retail consumer collective on the blockchain . Though it will probably be humble, it is still going to be a big moment for the company.
In connection with the sale we’ll try to run some promotions and though the dates are not yet definite, we can tell you that BBY will be the currency. All purchasing shall be done on metamask. User profiles will need to be completed and BBY will have to be in your wallet in order to participate.
Conclusion:
We hope have some exciting changes and thatBlocBuy will transact on the blockchain and be among the first global group purchasing platforms. In the big picture, it’s all about cost savings and onboarding more companies. We believe that in due time, BlocBuy can become a large transactional platform. Though the term is used loosely, we believe we have something here that offers a “win-win” for companies and consumers.
