We are delighted to present you with QUDO’s new feature. We added a completely new user-type called Gaming Guild

In the world of video games, the term “guild” typically describes a group of players that come together to compete against other groups or to defeat NPCs (Non-Player Characters), particularly in Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MOORPG) like World of Warcraft, Lineage II and others.

As blockchain games like play-to-earn (P2E) games are now included in the definition of “gaming guilds,” a new word called “Crypto Gaming Guilds” has emerged. A Crypto Gaming Guild is a community that consists of investors, gamers, and managers. They act as facilitators by purchasing in-game assets in the form of NFT and lending them out to thousands of players.

The goal of these gaming guilds is to encourage and facilitate players’ participation without requiring any upfront financial commitment, hence boosting the number of new players who choose to play these games in exchange for a share of the in-game crypto rewards.

Gaming guilds have been around for decades, especially due to competitive gaming, now known as E-Sports. Some famous gaming guilds are Solo Mid and Faze Clan. However, we are only now seeing a boom in this crypto sector due to the huge success of Axie Infinity and Guild of Guardians that gave birth to famous gaming guilds like Yeld Guild Games (YGG) and Nexxt Gaming Guild (NGG).

Contrary to what happens in most blockchain and P2E games, in QUDO there aren’t any financial barriers to starting playing and receiving rewards, but there are still ways that gaming guilds and their members can benefit from being part of the QUDO ecosystem. In QUDO, players receive tokens for their time playing games and a specific percentage is allocated to guilds (more info in the QUDO whitepaper). This means that a player that belongs to a guild will receive more rewards compared to a player that doesn’t belong to any guild if they play the same amount of time, because he will have access to the rewards that are shared between the guild members and the guild itself. Therefore, we encourage all users to join a guild to receive more rewards while playing as soon as gaming guilds start joining the platform.

Guilds will seek to attract the most active members not only in gaming since they will receive a percentage of their rewards, but also in the community to achieve more points in the guild monthly challenges.

Monthly challenges will set gaming guilds against each other, with the best ones ascending to the top of the Gaming Guilds leaderboard. The top five guilds will permanently receive QUDO tokens provided by the QUDO partner rewards in each block, although the top two will receive higher rewards compared to the ones in the 3rd and 5th spots. These spots change every month, according to the top 5 leaderboard.

How to create a gaming guild?

To create a gaming guild, simply go to games.qudo.io and register as a gaming guild. After registering and verifying your account, you may begin inviting your guild members using your guild referral link, which can be found on your Guild Management page.

Don’t forget to include your guild information and logo in your profile section.

The Gaming Guilds will need to stake QUDO tokens before they can accept guild members. The guild will require additional QUDO tokens as it grows.

You can check the number of members you can have with your current stake under the Guild Perks section on the Guild Management page.

How to join a Gaming Guild?

You can join a gaming guild by either creating a QUDO account through one of the guilds’ referral links or simply by applying to join a guild on your “Edit profile” page.

Why create a Gaming Guild before QUDO’s main net launch?

Until the main net launch of QUDO, gaming guilds will compete to be included in the initial Genesis block reward of QUDO while also ensuring a QUDO partner seat for the first month of QUDO’s launch. As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll also reward the top 5 gaming guilds with tokens and NFTs, among other perks. For the first month we will start with Telos tokens!*

*The first month’s prizes will be announced around a week before the start of the monthly challenges, which will begin as soon as we have more than 5 gaming guilds with at least 25 members.

Thank you for taking part in this journey!
We’ll stay in touch 😊
