The struggle of an Indie Game Developer
Nowadays, thanks to the newest developments on software and distribution of video games, anyone with a gaming development background can make their own video game using game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. This will drastically increase the number of indie games being released every year, making a world where already only a few could succeed even harder. Imagine this for every indie game you can remember. Thousands of other indie games didn’t get your attention and tens of thousands weren’t even able to reach you. It is almost impossible for small game studios to compete against big corporations, who invest enormous quantities promoting their video games. Most Indie game developers are aware of the struggle and even have other jobs to support their passion for the gaming industry.
We at Block Bastards love this industry and community, so we wanted to find a solution that could help game developers survive without punishing their audience with intrusive advertisement which would destroy the essence of their games and slowly kill them.
We wanted to create a decentralized platform which everyone could benefit from, and so QUDO was born.
This decentralized platform was created with the help of blockchain technology where when you play a game powered by QUDO, you report activity. Every 10 minutes a new block is created, containing the activity of games being played. Depending on the amount of gamers playing the game and other factors (e.g.: game stake), both game developer and respective players will be rewarded with freshly minted QUDO coins, put into circulation as network rewards. By doing this, we are able to give Game Developers the responsibility of having their own unique reward system, while giving the players the power to buy in-game items and additional content on all adherent games, without the need to use complicated transactions and fees, such as Credit Cards, Paypal and others. All this and much more is possible for FREE!
At this moment, we are looking for game developers to join us on this project before launch. It is important for us to test the implementation of this system and to fix small issues that will appear.
