Long have we waited and finally the time has come for us to release the first version of LICX to the public to test it out. Test it out and try to break it if possible, this will only help us improve any bugs in the code.

Summary

LICX is finally coming to a stage where we are comfortable to reveal it to the public because we want LICX to be as user friendly as possible, we have been tinkering with it for a longer period than initially expected. But now it is ready for testing so head over to licx.finance and test it out.

How to test it

  • Have an ICONex wallet
  • Get Yeouido testnet ICX
  • Go to licx.finance and play around with it and test it out
  • Report any feedback back to block42

Have an ICONex wallet

The first thing you need is your own ICONex wallet, if you don’t have it here is a guide

Get Yeouido testnet ICX

You can receive the yeouido testnet tokens at the following faucets:

Go to licx.finance

Play around with it and test it out. Note that when you want to do any transactions you’ll need to select yeouido testnet to be able to interact with the LICX smart contract. When you initiate a function on a website a pop-up window will open, please select yeouido as shown in the picture below.

When doing a transaction select yeouido testnet

ICX ➡️ LICX
When you’ll mint the LICX it will be locked for 2 terms (2 days) as you aren’t eligible for the rewards in the first two terms. After the 2 day period, you should be able to freely transfer it and receive rewards.

LICX ➡️ ICX
Because there is an unstaking period for ICX, the LICX protocol can’t get around this and needs to have an unstaking period. When transferring LICX into ICX the LICX tokens will get locked and you should receive ICX after the unstaking period

Transfer LICX
Since there is a lock-up period of 2 days, until you have transferable ICX it will be impossible for you to send LICX to another wallet, after the 2 days they are going to be fully functional. Transferable and generating rewards.
