Blockade Games Completes 2019 Alchemist Blockchain Techstars Accelerator
NEW YORK: June 18, 2019 — From February until May of this year, Blockade Games had the privilege and pleasure of participating in Techstars’ very first blockchain accelerator class! The Alchemist Blockchain Techstars Accelerator was a unique partnership between the internationally renowned Techstars program and the Alchemist blockchain consultancy and investment firm.
The program provided the first opportunity for Blockade Games’ founding members to work in New York City in order to prepare for the first public sale (you can find more details on the Founder’s Sale here) and establish a major presence in New York leading up to Blockchain Week NYC. Over the course of those months, we worked with battle-hardened mentors, startup gurus, blockchain experts, and every other resource this global accelerator network could offer. This undoubtedly set us up for our major milestones over the course of Spring 2019.

The experience culminated on Demo Day, where all cohort members presented their latest pitches to a full audience of investors and alumni. This was our moment to shine and showcase the major strides we’ve made in the previous few months, including the monumental Founder’s Sale. Neon District carves out a unique space in both the gaming and collectible markets and this was the moment to bring the two together.

On this new foundation, we’re currently expanding our seed raise to ensure that we have all the resources we need in the year to come to build our vision for Blockade Games.

About Neon District
Neon District is an upcoming cyberpunk role-playing game developed by Blockade Games and built on the Loom Network with Unity. Players control parties of characters and battle to progress through a sci-fi storyline and earn in-game NFT (non-fungible token) items. Your aim as part of the “Degens” and “Edits” is to combat a governing entity that has begun to surveil and control its citizens with implant technology. Season 0 is slated to launch in June 2019.
