In September 2019, Blockade Games released Ledger of Szabo, a fun and short adventure game reminiscent of old 80s and 90s classics. In it, we’ve hidden a total of 1 BTC worth of prizes, hidden within 8 individual puzzles.
It’s been four months, and four of the eight puzzles have been cracked! Now we’re starting to share all of the solutions to the known puzzles. Read on to see which puzzle was cracked, letting you focus on finding the remaining puzzles and prizes.

Death to Fiat
Death to Fiat hid a prize wallet containing 0.02 BTC. This puzzle involves the 16 tombstones scattered throughout the overworld as shown below.
Each tombstone contains the 3 character abbreviation of a real currency, its real creation date, and a fake death date in the future.
To solve this puzzle, collect the birth and death dates from all 16 tombstones. Order the fiat creation dates (dates should be historically accurate) from newest to oldest. Next, find the difference in days between the death dates of each subsequent fiat pair to get a number from 0–2047. This is a bip39 number to create a 15 word seed.
Example: The number of days between July 20, 2021 and April 18, 2026 is 1733 days
