Community Update — February 16, 2018
New partnerships, dev updates and BlockCATs in the wild.
This will be a fairly light week for updates, as our team is laser focused on the upcoming launch of our first fully-functional smart contract.
Community members will be excited to hear that this release will be accompanied by a marketing push — including interviews and promo ads— so as you can imagine, we’ve been quite busy behind the scenes.
Without further adieu, here’s the weekly update.
Here’s our notes directly from the Dev team.
+ Added exchanges rates between fiat and ETH for our new contract
+ Prepared a (likely) final version of the smart contract, after conducting more rounds of internal security, usability and cleanliness review
+ User interface polish, across the board for this new contract: better gas inputs, appropriate error handling and error messaging, colours, minimums and maximums, input formatting, many more niceties
+ Further automated testing work
Attention Network Partnership
This week our CEO officially announced a brand new partnership with Attention Network.
Attention Network is a blockchain and Ethereum powered auction system to make advertising better for everyone. We solve problems of trust, accessibility and policy control with smart contracts — achieving lower fees, better CPMs for publishers and higher ROAS for advertisers.
With the upcoming launch of our visual smart contract platform, this partnership will provide us with a provably fair auction for buying ads, while providing ad policy which is democratic, flexible and enforced by smart contracts. This is a big win in our books, and we’re excited to see what the future has in store for their team.
BlockCATs in the Wild
We’ve been sending out dozens of care packages to community members from all over the globe — and this week we’ve begun seeing photos trickle in.
Fun fact: We sent stickers to 27 Countries in total, including Australia, Ireland and the Netherlands!
