[MEMBERS SPOTLIGHT] Truhoma, When Philanthropy Meets Technology

Ana Lukner Roljić is an entrepreneur but most often associated with the charity foundation Ana’s Little Star. Recently, she took another step forward in the world of philanthropy. Her newest project, blockchain-based online platform Truhoma, is dedicated to bringing 100% transparency by ensuring the traceability and effectiveness of every donation. The platform’s effect has already been proven by helping raise much-needed donations for people in Slovenia and now in Ukraine.

Twelve years ago, in her free time, Ana Lukner Roljić founded the charity foundation Ana’s Little Star to help improve people’s lives by collecting care donations and handing them over directly to verified individuals and families. But even then, Mrs Lukner Roljić knew she wanted to enhance modern philanthropy further, which has encountered a loss in credibility and its fundamental purpose — to help those in need.

Her newest project, Truhoma, clearly pursues this mission and, at the same time, perfectly demonstrates the power of crypto and blockchain. Luckily, she is far from alone in her mission as many other visionaries and people with the willingness to help have joined her cause. Along with a team that perfectly complements her, numerous other visionaries and people with the willingness to help have joined her cause. Helping her is a one of a kind board of directors in the US, boasting experts in numerous fields. The list of partners who recognized the platform’s potential is even longer and includes widely recognized merchants, delivery companies, marketing agencies, financial institutions and many others (Davidov hram, Sadjevpisarni.si, GLS Slovenia, DS Smith, Pristop, Eligma, Evolt, Spartan Solutions, Delavska Hranilnica, BTC City, STAR prevajalske storitve, iCONSULT, Blockchain Alliance Europe). These all are the reasons we are incredibly proud to have Truhoma among our members.

»Truhoma, standing for True and Honest Mankind, is my life project and a result of my deepest values. In addition to bringing together donors, charities and the people in need in one place, the platform also confirms that blockchain and crypto can serve a much bigger purpose and have a real, tangible value. Therefore, innovative technology, combined with a clear mission, can help us pursue in achieving humanitarian (or any other) goals more effectively and thus assist us in creating a better and more transparent society.«

First version of Truhoma was launched in Slovenia in November of 2021 with the US launch planned for this year. It is a web-based marketplace connecting donors, donees and charities that simplifies how donees ask for and receive donations and streamlines work for charities and lowers and in some cases eliminates costs of their operations. Every donation’s complete life cycle is recorded on the blockchain, ensuring every step of the process is fully trackable and transparent.

Apart from bank transfers and credit card payments, donations on the Truhoma platform can also be made in crypto through the Elly, Binance Pay or Bitcoin.com wallet.

As the war has shattered the world in Ukraine, the Truhoma platform opened its first international project also in partnership with GoCrypto and made it possible for everyone to get involved and donate directly to help people who are fleeing the horrors. With generous donations by individuals and companies, Truhoma reached its goals and raised 20,000 EUR for 500 food packages, which are going to be delivered directly to people in Kyiv, Ukraine.
