Bytes by Blockchain at Berkeley

Berkeley, California — April 15, 2020 — Today, Blockchain at Berkeley, an organization focused on blockchain technology based in UC Berkeley, is proud to announce a new rebranding of our newsletter, a rebrand that reflects the organization’s mission to empower newer people interested in the blockchain industry.

At the intersection of industry and academia, Blockchain at Berkeley is in a unique position to educate and transition regular people into blockchain people. We’ve educated over 140,000+ students and trained over 200+ new blockchain experts as members of our organization. Because of this, the demographics we attract are students that are new to the space, or industry professionals seeking new business opportunities and new hires.

To better serve these communities our newsletter aims to provide content that breaks down long and complex information into small Byte size pieces that readers can quickly parse. Our analysts will:

  • mine for and process the latest news from top sources so that readers can see ongoing trends in the blockchain landscape
  • provide insightful articles written by our expert members
  • highlight insightful tweets to get a byte of crypto-twitter
  • feature a blockchain startup of the week
  • include our growing list of meetups/events

We’re looking at 80% insights, 15% events, 5% of everything else.

Blockchain at Berkeley’s new brand asset for Bytes include a friendlier look that highlights our approach of short, data, and insight driven content. The graphic inspires a simple yet warm connection between the brand and the consumer of Bytes.

We’ll publish new issues of our newsletter biweekly on Thursdays. Sign up at blockchain.berkeley.edu/bytes and thank you.
