A Behind-the-Scenes Look: How the BRAWL-O-SEUM NFT Was Created

The look and feel of this NFT reflects the exclusive and premium nature of the asset and sets it apart from anything we’ve ever created to date.

When we initially set out to launch a new and innovative crafting game that would drive all future Blockchain Brawlers activity, we knew that the BRAWL-O-SEUM NFT was meant to be in the hands of just a few highly-accomplished players. We knew we wanted to release the NFT in limited quantities because of how omnipotent it is.

When it comes to the look and feel, the NFT needed to reflect its exclusive and premium nature — setting itself apart from anything we’ve ever created to date. That’s why we partnered up with a production studio that had the talent to deliver on our colossal vision.

The London-based, award-winning production house, Irresistible Studios, caught our attention. Take one look at their recent work and you’ll understand why. Their team has collaborated with some of the most influential brands and labels in the world to craft gorgeous films, motion effects and more.

Our direction was very clear: Create the raddest looking NFT that WAX Studios has ever been associated with.

The level of shine required was obvious. Less obvious, however, was how over-the-top to take the action. Under the watchful eye of Ref Jeff, we knew we wanted some serious animation loops set inside the world of Body Slam Bay. We told them it should be absolute mayhem everywhere you look. And they delivered.

“We want BRAWL-O-SEUM owners to feel as if they are getting an NFT like no other. A no-holds-barred Brawling Coliseum filled to the brim with every aspect of the Brawlerverse,” explained Ref Jeff. “There will be Brawling, rabid fans, ring-side drama and more. We want to build something special for the rowdiest crowd in all of gaming, so the BRAWL-O-SEUM needs to pack a serious punch… and leg drop.”

In the Beginning, There Was Only a Simple Sketch

This first sketch we got back was a fantastic start. It conveyed all of the pomp and circumstance you would expect to be affiliated with any Blockchain Brawlers live event.

The statue seemed a little out of place and there wasn’t the sense that all-out war was taking place. At this point in time, the ties to this being a high-utility asset that would drive our content crafting experience moving forward were also missing.

We wanted to tell the right story… but it wasn’t quite there, yet. We wanted every subterranean level of the BRAWL-O-SEUM to be packed with commotion. At the end of the day, there would be no pixel left untouched or wasted.

What Came Next Was a Home Run

For round two, Irresistible Studios came back to us with a very ambitious drawing that completely knocked it out of the park.

The look and feel of this sketch was on point with everything our team imagined (and more) and we asked them to move along to the modeling and rendering phase of the project. From there, only a few marginal tweaks needed to be made.

Check out the home run sketch and the awesome subsequent design below.

Finally, the BRAWL-O-SEUM Comes to Life

Can you begin to see the BRAWL-O-SEUM come to life? We thought you might be just as obsessed with the design of this NFT as we are and we can’t wait for it to get into the hands of our players.

This piece of art represents 65% of what the final asset will look and feel like.

Next, we’ll be removing the clouds, swapping out the random purple coins at the subterranean level of the assembly line with Gold bars and packing the stadium seats with the rowdiest Blockchain Brawlers fans.

To get a glimpse of the finished product, you’ll have to be patient and wait until the sale on July 20, 2022.

In order to deliver on our colossal vision, Irresistible Studios is working with us every step of the way to ensure the BRAWL-O-SEUM is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

Stay tuned! There’s a lot more exciting things coming your way very soon.
