Greetings Brawlers,

It’s been a while since we last walked you through our monthly roadmap, but September is bursting with exciting updates that we couldn’t wait to share. As you can see from the calendar, this month holds some game-changing developments for the rowdiest game in the Metaverse.

Rebranded Assets — Version 1.5.22
Mark your calendars for September 7th because that’s when Brawlers version 1.5.22 drops, introducing rebranded assets. Our lighter, more user-friendly “Brawlers” will soon be in your hands. You’ll spot these changes on the Alpha deck cards and moves, and they’re here to stay — you can’t scrub them away!

Epic Store Distribution
Exciting news for our player community! We’re transitioning from our current distribution method, which involves a launcher on our website, to the Epic Store launcher. We’ve completed the publishing process, secured ESRB and IARC ratings, and we’re all set to publish by the end of September. Next week, we’ll roll out a “Coming Soon” page on the Epic Store. All players will need to set up an Epic Store account (it’s free), so if you haven’t already, now’s the perfect time. In the long run, this will be the primary path forward. Our move to the Epic Store reflects our commitment to making the game more accessible and appealing to a broader audience, especially core gamers.

Prepare yourself, register and download the Epic Game Launcher here.

BluMint Partnership
Our partnership with BluMint remains strong. The BluMint Team will run one more event before transitioning to automation mode in October. We’re also exploring the possibility of automating weekly BCB competitions based on player interest and the success of their tournament hosting software.

In-Game Asset Display
In the third week of September, we aim to enable the display of all the assets you’ve been collecting within the game. Session data and account validation will reside in the client, meaning no more shiny gold cards and a vast inventory of Swagged Brawlers at your disposal. You’ll be brawling with your gear, offering an even richer gaming experience. We’ll continue to offer a free-to-try mode, just as we did with the WebGL version. We’ve seen many new faces join and become regular players, confirming that our gaming paradigm is one worth exploring.

Quality of Life Changes
This month brings several quality of life improvements, including enhanced in-match stability to eliminate crashes and ensure cards are dealt correctly. We’re also introducing post-hand damage calculations to explain who won the hand and why they dealt specific damage. This is vital for new players to grasp the rules of Scoring, Flexing, and the Power Meter.

Discard Pile Feature
Perhaps the most significant in-game change is the introduction of a discard pile. No more reshuffling after each hand. Before the next B.E.S.T. event, we’ll modify the shuffle rule to occur only when there are a minimum of 9 cards in the discard pile. This means early folding may hold a slight advantage and Flexing successfully becomes slightly harder.

Brawl-4-All Mode
The highly anticipated Brawl-4-All mode is set to go live in the last week of September. Stay tuned for a detailed overview of how it works. Assets will grant players unique in-ring advantages from a stats standpoint. The more high-quality assets you possess, the more potent your in-ring brawler will be. But remember, luck plays a role too, as being one of the first 8 players in the ring rarely guarantees victory.

We’re eager to witness how these changes unfold over the next four weeks and discuss them with you on Discord.
