A fellow blockchain enthusiast friend of mine just shared a link to ICO spreadsheets and I must say that some of them are incredibly insightful of its own as well as they give out some really interesting insights on what makes blockchain companies interesting.

Here is the link that started it all https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2552575.60

Grades relating to ICO numbers: ICO price (1point — the higher the worst), # of ICO tokens (1 point), Total number of Tokens, % of Total Supply, ICO market cap (4 points)

Prototype is key and earns 6 POINTS!! which makes sense since it shows that the team can deliver from the get go.

Team can earn up to 4 points, advisors 2, idea 3, Community (seems that at least 10,000 members or so are needed to earn a full point).

Too large of a bonus is a bad sign (see image on the left), which makes sense it means that you need to “sell off” the team at a huge discount in order to sell tokens and create demand.

In terms of types of projects Blockchain projects are best earning 2 points.

Then Infrastructure and Currency (1 point) and lastly App (0 points).

Here are some more links to analyze:

The less the “% Total supply” the worst it looks to investors, which makes sense since it means that only a smaller part of the tokens will be available in the ICO therefore the relative importance of the tokens sold will be less. I wonder if the positive side of it is that the company can launch

In terms of Token Supply seems that beyond 5,000,000,000 (5bn) no points are awarded.

Unfortunately in this sheet I cannot see the formulas so I just contacted the person that made it, but he doesn’t seem to want to share much ;)

Talking about “Token price” it seems that the lower the token price the better, though there must a formula for this since lower token prices do not necessarily get more points.
