Cutie Generation: Is It important?
One of the most important Cutie characteristics is its generation.
But does it matter that much in the game?
In this post, you will find out how generation impacts Cutie’s life and what you can do about it.
What is Cutie Gen?
Generation is the level of remoteness from the Blockchain Creator.
The Creator releases Gen 0s into the world. Original Gen 0s don’t have parents.
Cuties of all other generations have parents and are initially of 1st generation or older.
Cutie gets its generation upon birth — the highest of its parents’ generations plus one. For example, a child of Gen 3 and Gen 4 will be Gen 5.
Why Gen Matters?
If you plan to breed your Cutie, you want it to be as low gen as possible. Lower gens have more demand on the siring market, and their children are worth more on the Cutie market.
Also, breeding lower generation Cuties is cheaper than the higher ones.
Cuties of the lower generations have more opportunities to engage with the world of Cutieland.
For example, only Gen 0–2 can raid bosses.
Future development will bring even more benefits to the lowest generations in the game.
Low gen Cuties get an advantage in battle if they fight against someone of higher gen. The maximum bonus a Cutie can get is +5, which is huge.
The generation power bonus depends on the generational difference between Cuties. For example, Gen 0 will get a +5 bonus to its attack and defense against Gen 5.
Can I change my Cutie’s generation?
The only way to decrease your Cutie’s generation is to give it an Elixir of Youth.
Three types of yellow elixirs can make your Cutie one generation younger. The difference between them is the limit to how far each type can reduce the Cutie’s gen.
- Pure Elixir of Youth — up to generation 0
- Distilled Elixir of Youth — up to generation 2
- Spiked Elixir of Youth — up to generation 5
We hope this helps you navigate the game and the market.
Good luck, Cutieneers!
