In Blockchain Cuties some pets are more valuable than others. The market landscape is somewhat complicated, and regular people would probably find it a bit confusing. But cutieneers are not ordinary people. This community thrives on challenges.
So what exactly determines the price of a cutie?
To paint a quick picture we have regular cuties who’s price is usually determined by:
- rarity of their genes and attributes
This sounds easy until you realize, that you can change about half of these for existing cuties and breed to get the rest for your future ones. And experienced cutieneers do that to get the most out of the market.
They get the coolest gear, change generation and nobility aspects as well as level up their cuties. Most knowledgeable cutieneers experiment with breeding to achieve the best mix of genes to get a great looking cutie with rare attributes.
Apart from reguar cuties, there are Tribute Cuties that are usually more valuable. A lucky combination of genes can get you one in the breeding process. The fact that it is a tribute will positively impact the looks and the attribute aspects, which will probably get you a good deal on the market. Additionally, tributes are more valued because they are very rare.
Except for the Manni Tribute Cutie. This dog is everywhere, so the price for it went down.
When An Easy Thing Makes Everything Difficult
Cutieneers, we all know and love Tribute Cuties. These fluff balls are very special and hard to get by.
That’s quite a diversity to play with.
But did the Blockchain Cuties team stop at tributes and regulars? No!
We added Unique Cuties — Limited edition collectibles that are available on the special sale’s page. Uniques are quite pricey, but there still is a healthy demand for them.
For example, one of the Unique Cuties — Lord Ash, was sold out in the first 24 hours of us releasing it.
They Are All Gone!
Cutieners, we never expected anything like this. It hasn’t been 24 hours since we released 10 unique Lords of Ashes…
There are also priceless Custom Cuties made from dreams, ideas, and rainbows. Seriously, our artist can turn anything into a cutie. You just have to make a wish and win an auction.
Players rarely resell their Custom Cuties. But it doesn’t mean that they don’t generate some income. Custom Cuties are in demand on the breeding market, because everyone wants a cool parent for their pets.
Logically, you would think the most expensive cutie would be a Custom, a Unique or a Tribute cutie. But interestingly enough, the most expensive cutie on the market is a colander wearing cat, that looks like a super villain in the making.
Let’s just say that the market is a bit strange at the top.
There is something weird goin on. Is it a boujee conspiracy?
Cutieneers, what do you think about this pricing policy? And is there a priceless cutie in your collection?
