Let’s be realistic here, it’s a nice gimmick and impressive that we can create a coin in 10 minutes.
However, in case you are developing more than just untested vanilla flavor Smart contract and need to do testing, debugging and keep adding features. You cannot escape it and you would need to set up a real development environment.
