BGA at the Forefront of Web3 Gaming Activity in APAC
As Blockchain Game Alliance continues to pursue its mission to raise awareness of blockchain gaming globally, we are proud to have dedicated Alliance representatives across geographic regions. With established presence in APAC and the recent announcement of our official representatives in LATAM, we are closing the gap across cultures and languages to bring more professionals into the network as we work together towards advancing blockchain technology for gaming.
We are well represented in APAC through our regional ambassador Jonathan Jungers, who is highly active in representing the BGA and Web3 gaming at regional events, in collaboration with our members in APAC, and alongside BGA president Sebastien Borget, who is present at significant events in the region.
Since the beginning of the year, BGA has been present at several leading crypto conferences in Hong Kong and surrounding countries. Joining events such as the Sandbox Hong Kong Partners Day, Animoca Brands Mocaverse Community Event, Brinc Web 3.0 Accelerator Demo Day and WOW Summit Hong Kong, alongside BGA President and The Sandbox Co-founder, Sebastien Borget.
WoW Summit was followed by masterclass panels presented by Sebastien and other key industry leaders to talk about the status and future of Blockchain gaming and share their insights into the web3 gaming ecosystem.
Hong Kong is gaining traction as an attractive place for Blockchain gaming companies. This year has been a hive of crypto and web3 activity, with three international blockchain conferences in 30 days. Events include the Web3 Festival, FOMO Asia, and WOW Summit, where BGA was represented by our APAC Ambassador, Jonathan Jungers. Following the series of high-profile blockchain events, he commented: “Hong Kong had more than 100 side events during the “Web3 Festival” week. Blockchain gaming was one of the hottest topics, with many demo days and tournaments where games showcased their projects and communities.”
On behalf of BGA, Jonathan also attended our event in Singapore, hosted alongside Amazon Web Services for Games, at their regional office. This event was dedicated to the future of Blockchain games alongside Blockchain Game Alliance, Crypto.com Capital, Oasys Pte. Ltd., Ethereum France and OffChain Global Singapore. Hosting several panel discussions, speakers shared their insights on a number of topics, including ‘Mainstream Adoption for Web3 Gaming’, ‘Trends in Web3 Gaming’, ‘Current Fundraising Environment for Web3 Games,’ and “‘Narrative in East Asia versus the West.’
Our APAC representative is doing a great job of giving the BGA visibility across the APAC region alongside other members in Asia, such as Japan-based Pacific Meta, NFT studio24, and global gaming publisher Square Enix which has recently become an official member, who all support the BGA by raising awareness of our mission across their region.
On the APAC side, we also work with our BGA members to share news and industry information, such as the BGA annual report in Japanese, translated by Pacific Meta, who also organized a BGA event in collaboration with OffChain Global and other leading blockchain companies in Tokyo in May.
We are proud that the Alliance continues to expand and include fellow professionals across the globe who can contribute and share knowledge with a vision towards a fun-fuelled web3 gaming ecosystem.
Upcoming Events
BGA is now preparing for the second half of the year in the APAC region with two key moments, Token 2049 in Singapore and the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, both leading events that will take place in September.
This Month
The Blockchain Game Alliance is proud to collaborate with The SandBox, OffChain Global, and CLUB DAO to host a special meetup in Hong Kong with BORGET Sebastien, President of the Blockchain Game Alliance and Co-Founder of The Sandbox.

Full attendance on Saturday’s event with Animoca Brands, Amazon AWS, Liteflow, The Sandbox, Lumber and Offchain at Club Dao shows that the Blockchain Game Alliance a truly global organization that connects new and existing members around the world, as well as keep educating and showcasing what Blockchain technology enables in gaming throughout the APAC region.”
